Had a look at all three models of the Kia (cee'd, pro_cee'd, and cee'd_sw) this week, and the i30. The quality of the Hyundai interior was impressive compared to the Kia and I marginally preferred it's overall design, but it was let down by the "orange peel" paintwork on the sample I saw. The Hyundai dealer here in Spain was gnashing his teeth because they are only offering 3 years warranty here against the Kia 7 years - the latter is full warranty for 5 years, then a further 2 years for engine and transmission (I believe this is different in UK). There have been negative comments regarding the "C" pillar width and rear visibility on both makes, and I would agree - definitely rear parking sensors required
Equipment for the different trim levels on the i30 were a strange mix - automatic on 1.6 diesel only with the third trim level. Sunroof /cruise control/leather only available on 2.0 petrol/diesel as the 4th trim level. Only options - Bluetooth, metallic paint.
Kia dealer showed an approximate 10% discount on the specification/pricing display panels beside each model, and the local equivalent of "What Car" is suggesting 12-13% is available on cee'd if you try - 9% on the i30
