A driver drove off after hitting my parked car, but I have CCTV footage of the incident - can I demand the owner's details from DVLA?

Today my car was damaged in a car park. The store keep CCTV and confirmed the incident took place and have agreed to keep the footage. I now have the details of the car, but not the details of the owner. Will my situation satisfy DVLA that I have a legitimate reason for disclosure of the driver?

Yes. That is 'Just Cause' to demand the Keeper Details from the DVLA within the terms of the Data Protection Act.
